Sheila R. (Burns) Forman

Sheila R. (Burns) Forman, 74, of Castroville, TX, passed away peacefully in her home on July 7, 2025. She was born August 13,1950, in Illinois.

Sheila was preceded in death by her father and mother, Harold and Alice Burns, her youngest brother, William Burns, and her husband, Gary L. Forman. She is survived by her brother, Tom Burns, and her sister, Pat (Burns) Pierce and many other extended family members.

Sheila was very dedicated to any job put before her and her time as a beloved substitute teacher at Medina Valley High School for many years was no exception. Students knew they could count on her to listen, to give sound advice and to give a hug when needed. Many considered her like a second mom, aunt or grandma. And while they felt loved and understood by her, they also knew she would not take attitude from anyone. She was a force of nature. Sheila was a positive influence in their lives and cared deeply about them. She enjoyed keeping in touch with many of them in later years.

She loved people with an open heart and was always there when someone needed her. Her life touched the lives of so many others.

It was Sheila’s wishes not to have any services. For those that knew and loved her, cherish your memories and hold her in your hearts forever.
