Ruben G. Reyes, age 72, of Hondo, Texas, passed away on January 10, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas. Ruben was born in Hondo on March 30, 1949, to Estella and Jesus Reyes.

Ruben is preceded in death by his wife: Gloria Reyes; Parents: Jesus and Estella Reyes; and Brother: Robert Reyes.

Ruben is survived by his sons: Mike Reyes, Jason Gallardo, Rene Reyes (Jeanette), and Ryan Reyes; daughters: Ruby Reyes (Ronnie), Rita Reyes (Morgan), Lorraine Alonzo (Chris), and Christine Reyes; sisters: Gloria Cortez (Danny), and Irma Lopez; brothers: Joe Reyes, and Arturo Lopez; 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

A visitation was held at 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church on Friday, January 14, 2022. Recitation of the Rosary was held at 10:30 a.m., followed by a memorial mass at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022, at St. John’s Catholic Church.

Services are under the direction of Hondo Funeral Home.
