Ramona Y. Alcaraz, age 91, of Hondo, Texas, passed away on September 4, 2026. Ramona was born in Hondo on October 26, 1934, to Paula and Teofilo Ybarra.
Ramona is preceded in death by her son: Sergio Rodrigue, her parents and brothers.
Ramona is survived by her spouse: Robert Alcaraz; sons: Chase Rodriguez (Mary), Tony Rodriguez; daughter: Edna Mendoza (Fred); sisters: Santos Alvarez, Josefina D. Yezierski (John), and Eva Cortez (Ernie); brother: Jesse Ybarra (Joyce); and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church on September 9, 2026, beginning at 9:30 a.m., with recitation of the Rosary at 10:00 a.m. , followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m., and will conclude with interment at Hondo Cemetery.
Services are under the Direction of Hondo Funeral Home.
