Robert Mares. Jr.

Robert Mares Jr., age 55, passed away on February 17, 2026. He was born on January 22, 1971, in Hondo, Texas, to Robert Mares Sr. and Maria Corona.

Robert worked as a dedicated ranch hand, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and deep connection to the land. He took pride in his work and was known for his reliability, toughness, and willingness to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. Outside of work, Robert enjoyed hunting, finding peace and fulfillment in the outdoors. Robert was a husband, father, son, and grandfather who loved his family deeply. 

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Bohyer; his children, Julysa Mares, Bobbie Fehr, Elizabeth Shearrow, and Juan Mares; his stepchildren and grandchildren, Breanna Crow (Sydney Frost) and Sierrah Crow (Amelia Joslin); his parents, Maria Corona and Robert Mares Sr.; and his siblings, Christine Mares and Joseph Mares. 

He leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pedro and Ignacia Mares, and Domingo and Rita Corona. 

Robert will be remembered for his strength, his hardworking nature. His presence, guidance, and quiet resilience will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Service arrangements will be announced by the family at a later date.
