Rene Rodriguez

Rene Rodriguez, age 54, of Hondo, Texas, passed away on March 7, 2026. Rene was born in Hondo on June 16, 1971, to Maria Elvia and Emilio Rodriguez.

Rene is preceded in death by his parents: Maria Elvia and Emilio Rodriguez; sisters: Sandra R.Torres, and infant Evie Rodriguez; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Rene is survived by his wife: Amy Garcia Trevino; son: Latrell Rodriguez; daughters: Kadejhia Rodriguez, Ladejhia Rodriguez, and Kanaie Rodriguez; stepchildren: Jazel M. Garza (Luiz), and Xavier D. Trevino; sister: Jennifer M. Rodriguez Dominguez (Mark); brothers: Javier Rodriguez (Holly), and Emilio Adrian Rodriguez (Elsa); grandchildren: Sunny, Sky, Javen, and Gracie; and nieces and nephews: Hunter (Faith), Hayley, Hayden, Evan, Meghan, Sebastian, Eian, and Cristian.

A visitation will be held at Hondo Funeral Home on Thursday, March 12, 2026, beginning at 5:00 p.m., followed by Recitation of the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., concluding with interment at Hondo Cemetery.
