Nathan B. Acuna

Nathan Balenzuela Acuna, age 56, of Yancey, Texas passed away on September 21, 2026, in San Antonio. He was born June 11, 1940, in Hondo, Texas to Martha and Natividad “Nat” F. Acuna, Jr.

Nathan is preceded in death by his father: Nat F. Acuna, Jr.

Nathan is survived by his 3 sons: Zachary Acuna (Janet), Aaron Acuna (Mari Barrios), and Brandin Acuna; mother: Martha Acuna; brothers: Jonathan Acuna, and Nathaniel Acuna; and 6 grandchildren: Cali Acuna, Athena Acuna, Logan “the chunker” Acuna, Zara “Rara” Acuna, Alexander “the schmuck” Acuna, and Chosen “the chubby” Acuna.

A memorial service will be held at Hondo Funeral Home on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with military honors beginning at 3:00 p.m. Services will conclude at the funeral home.

Services are under the Direction of Hondo Funeral Home.
