Nathan B. Acuña

Nathan Balenzuela Acuña, age 56, of Yancey, Texas passed away on September 21, 2026, in San Antonio. He was born June 11, 1970, in Hondo, Texas to Martha and Natividad “Nat” F. Acuña, Jr.

Nathan is preceded in death by his father: Nat F. Acuña, Jr.

Nathan is survived by his 3 sons: Zachary Acuña (Janet), Aaron Acuña (Mari Barrios), and Brandin Acuña; mother: Martha Acuña; brothers: Jonathan Acuña, and Nathaniel Acuña; and 6 grandchildren: Cali Acuña, Athena Acuña, Logan “the chunker” Acuña, Zara “Rara” Acuña, Alexander “the schmuck” Acuña, and Chosen “the chubby” Acuña.

A memorial service will be held at Hondo Funeral Home on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with military honors beginning at 3:00 p.m. Services will conclude at the funeral home.

Services are under the Direction of Hondo Funeral Home.
