Melinda Campos

Melinda Lee Campos, 54, of Hondo, Texas, peacefully passed on August 17, 2026, in San Antonio, surrounded by her loved ones.

Ruben & Candelaria Campos welcomed Melinda into their family on March 20, 1972. Melinda was a middle child and only daughter. After school and life adventures, Melinda returned to Hondo and worked hard at a local nursing home as a successful cook for many years. Melinda was blessed to reunite with friends, family and her soulmate enjoying life listening to music, singing, dancing, making family meals and traveling.

Melinda is now in heaven enjoying her parents Ruben & Candelaria, along with her brothers Jesse and Alex†. Melinda is survived by many friends & family members who loved her dearly. She is also survived by her soulmate Juan; Godchildren: Dawon & Hazel; sister-in-law Danelle†, nephews: Jackston & Jourdan; brother: Robert (Michelle), nephew: Neil, and step-niece: Sicily.

Memorial and Celebration of Life Services were held on September 20, 2026.
