Maria Esperanza Palacios Rodriguez

Maria Esperanza Palacios Rodriguez, age 70, passed away Friday, September 12, 2025. She was born in Hondo on April 27, 1955, to Antonio Palacios, and Guadalupe Salinas Herrera Palacios.

Maria Esperanza was preceded in death by her parents; her mother, Guadalupe, (June 26, 1927-January 8, 1960, and then her father, Antonio (April 15, 1921-April 25, 1989). Her siblings that gained their wings: Victor Emanuel “Taco” Palacios (October 31, 1956-June 1, 1993), Guadalupe Juan “Kue” Palacios (December 15, 1953-September 1, 2002), Celinda Santos (May 26, 1948-June 15, 2020), Adelaida Bedelia Gonzales (February 1, 1947-September 29, 2020), and Esmeralda Rodriguez (February 17, 1951-November 12, 2023). As each one passed, they’d take a piece of her heart with them.

Survivors include her most precious jewels: her children: Ryan Rodriguez, Vicente Enrique Camacho, and Analyce Teresa Camacho. Her pride and joy – her grandchildren. Her support system – her stepmom Rosa Palacios, and her remaining siblings: Antonio Palacios, Diama Hernandez, Ricardo Herrera Palacios, Geraldo Palacios, and Amanda Palacios, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for immediate family only, will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church on Friday, September 19, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m., Recitation of the Rosary at 9:30 a.m., which will be open to the public, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., and will conclude with interment at Hondo Cemetery.
