Louisa S. Garcia

Louisa S. Garcia, age 92, of Devine, Texas, passed away on July 26, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. Louisa was born in Devine, on December 6, 1933, to Maria Margarita and Leondro “Big Pompy” Samarippa.

Louisa is preceded in death by her husband: Bernardino Garcia; parents: Leondro “Big Pompy” and Maria Margarita Samarippa; and sisters: Amelia Mata of California, and Carmel De La Garza (of Fort Worth).

Louisa is survived by her sons: Bernard Garcia, Jr. (Loucy), and Jesse Garcia; daughters: Norma Ann Garcia, and Mary Margaret Castro (Raymond); sister: Anita Samarippa; brothers: Alejandro Samarippa, and Librado Samarippa; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Hondo Funeral Home on Thursday, July 30, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery on Friday, July 31, 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m. at Shelter #5.
