Louella was a long time resident of Karnes County, arriving with her family from Michigan in the summer of 1945. A 1947 graduate of Kenedy High School, she married Raymond in September of that year. After many years in the farming and dairy business, Louella and Raymond purchased and operated the local Montgomery Ward Agency and later the J C Penny Catalog store. Louella was a well-known and respected businessperson in Karnes County. She was a faithful member of the Kenedy and Karnes City Methodist Churches.

Her remains will be cremated and later buried next to her husband in the family plot at City Cemetery located in Kenedy, Texas. At that time, a graveside memorial service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a charitable donation to the Kenedy and /or Karnes City Public Library, in honor of her favorite pastime, reading.

Services are under the direction of Hondo Funeral Home.
