In Loving Memory of Leah Hedrick-Ainsworth
March 8, 1990 – October 22, 2026
Leah Hedrick-Ainsworth, 36, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on October 22, 2026, following a long and difficult struggle with her mental health. Though her life was marked by challenges that were often difficult for others to fully understand, Leah was a special person whose life touched those around her. Her family finds comfort in the belief that she is now at peace, free from the struggles she carried for so long.
Leah was a gentle soul who felt things deeply and she faced battles that required more strength than many people ever saw. Despite these hardships, she had a distinctive sense of humor that she shared with those fortunate enough to know her closely. She was more than the struggles she endured, and her unique spirit and tender heart will remain part of the memories held by those who loved her.
One of Leah’s meaningful gifts was her ability to bring family members back together. She helped reunite her father with his eldest daughter and later tracked down her half-brother. These connections were an important part of Leah’s story, reflecting her role in bringing family members together and helping restore bonds that might otherwise have remained lost.
Leah is survived by her mother, Maryjo Hedrick; her partner, Adam Zapata; her sister, Mariam Novitsky; her brother, Gregory Ainsworth; and her beloved daughter. She was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy Ainsworth, and her father, Greg Ainsworth.
Leah will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her distinctive humor, the family connections she helped rebuild, and the lasting place she holds in the hearts of those who knew her. Though her struggles were a significant part of her journey, they were not the entirety of who she was. She was a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a person whose life mattered.
May Leah finally find the peace she so deeply needed. She will be loved and remembered always.
