At rest until day breaks and shadows fall and darkness disappears……..
He was my son…..-- Joseph Isaiah Foster passed from this life on 2 June 2025 by his own hand in Medina County, Texas, North of Hondo. He strove always for good and lived cleanly and honestly despite a life that contained far too much meanness and unjustifiable unfair and cruel treatment. He was such a fine boy, full of fun and laughter, everything you could want in a son. He was so smart; though his primary schooling was inadequate, he graduated from the New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell and he took a Physics degree and had worked toward a Mechanical Engineering degree with high marks. He could run anything, fix anything, figure out anything, do anything. He loved completely, and he loved his little girl so very much. Being Father to little Freya was the high point of his life. He wanted to make the very best life for her. He was a very good man.
With the recent birth of his beautiful daughter, he was likely the happiest he’d been since childhood, and then it was all swept away before his eyes. On word alone, an overwhelming assault from an un-just, so called, “justice system” in Bexar County and a high handed, woke, imperious, and anti-male Family and Protective Services State Agency forced him into dark despair. Being forced into a scenario which for months prevented any means to adequately defend himself, while the forces involved placed him under unbearable pressure and into impossible no-win situations, he was at a distinct disadvantage at every step. Joseph Isaiah Foster did not deserve the treatment he received. Harsh, Cruel, Soul-Crushing, Devastating,--- it was too much.
He is survived by his young daughter Freya Leigh Foster, brothers Seth and Jake, and his father, Joe Foster. His sister Amanda Leigh Foster passed 2 June 1989, and his mother Lisa Ann (Walker) Foster passed 18 January 2015. He was always very grateful for the loving friendship and many kindnesses extended by his closest good friends, Clayton Elliott of Arkansas and Amanda Hatchard of Australia, fine people in their own rights.
Go, Isaiah, our ancestors and family welcome you with love and understanding, take your place among our people. We will meet again. Wild, Wild Horses, we’ll ride them some day.
In this day and age, good men are taken for granted, devalued, depreciated and, too often, cast off. At best this world is indifferent to a man. As a meaningful remembrance to this man, I request that you stand with, speak for and kindly support a good man, most importantly when a kind word, a good deed and support is needed. And, in so doing--Question Authority--Seek the truth--Listen to the truth--Learn the truth--Love the truth--Tell the truth--Defend the truth, even unto death.
