Jose is preceded in death by his mother: Antonia DeLeon Chavez; father: Candido Ramos; stepmother: Maria Ellen Ramos; stepbrother: Ismael Ramos; and in-laws: Manuel and Petra Gonzalez Reyes.
Jose is survived by his loving wife: Rose Reyes Chavez; daughters: Crystal Lynne Chavez, and Kattie Chavez; sisters: Linda Bayerlein, Ofra Franco, Alicia Valdez, Delfina Galvan, and Anna Chapa; and brother: Candido Ramos, Jr.
