Jessica Marie Pope

Jessica Marie Pope, age 46, of Hondo, Texas, passed away on January 30, 2026, in Hondo. Jessica was born in Hondo, Texas on December 20, 1979, to Evangelina “Vangie” Barrios Garcia, and Ronnie Garcia.

Jessica is preceded in death by father: Ronnie Garcia; and grandparents: Efrain & Eloisa Barrios, and Domingo & Maria Miranda.

Jessica is survived by her life partner: Joey Buerger; children: Morgan Alysse Gorzelle (Cody), James Ryan Pope (Kylie), and Driana Brielle Pope-Hernandez; mother: Vangie Barrios Garcia; sisters: Annie Guajardo (Ray), and Sarah Grace Rosas (Julio); brother: Ronnie James Garcia (Emily); 4 grandchildren, 2 nieces, and 1 nephew, and numerous other family members who will miss her deeply.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at St. John’s Catholic Church beginning at 12:30 p.m., Recitation of the Rosary at 1:00 p.m., followed by Mass at 1:30 p.m. Services will conclude at the church.

Services are under the Direction of Hondo Funeral Home.
