Hercilia Tijerina, age 75, of Charlotte, Texas, passed away on February 16, 2021 in Jourdanton, Texas. Hercilia was born in Poteet, Texas on May 28, 1945 to Rafael and Emilia De La Fuente.
Hercilia is preceded in death by her parents: Rafael and Emilia De La Fuente; brothers: Pedro De La Fuente, Alfredo De La Fuente, and Rafael De La Fuente, Jr.; sister: Abelina Martinez.
Hercilia is survived by her husband: Placido Tijerina; son: Placido Joseph Tjerina (Carrie); daughters: Kristina Garcia and Cori Lynn Rodriguez (Eric); sister: Erlinda Garcia (Alfred), Ninfa Carpenter (Eric), and Emma Ramirez (Joe); brother: Ezekiel De La Fuente (Patsy); and 6 grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Charlotte. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Charlotte. An interment will follow in Chilipitin Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Hondo Funeral Home.
