Gloria Garcia Valdez, of Devine, Texas, age 74, passed away on May 16, 2020 in Devine, Texas. Gloria was born on May 21, 1945 in Devine, Texas to Simon and Simona Garcia.
Gloria is preceded in death by her husband: Isidro Valdez, parents: Simon and Simona Garcia; brothers: Perfecto and Carlos Garcia; sisters: Amelia and Maria Ellena Gutierrez, and Anita Torrez; stepchildren: Maria V. Gonzales and Jesus M. Valdez.
Gloria is survived by her daughter: Lisa Tovar (Andy); son: Marcus Garcia (Danielle); stepchildren: Norma Gomez, Josie Gonzales (Thomas), Millie Esquibel (Henry), Janie Velasquez (Lupe), and Tencha Rodriguez (Robert); sisters: Maria Alvarez, Magdalena Garcia, and Ofelia Church, and nine grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a rosary recited at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 22, 2020 in the main chapel at Hondo Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Hondo Funeral Home.
