Gerald Barry Foye, Jr.

Gerald Barry Foye, Jr., known to all as Gerry, passed away on May 13, 2024, in D’Hanis, Texas, at the age of 76. He was born on September 16, 1947, near San Francisco, CA.
 
Gerry had a wry sense of humor, an appreciation for classic rock 'n' roll, and faithfully cheered for his San Francisco 49ers.
 
Gerry proudly served in the Navy from 1964 to 1968, including time aboard the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown. After retiring from careers in management and sales, he and his wife Janice and their dog Lucy enjoyed having the time to travel around the United States in their RV, volunteering at several Texas State Parks with the Park Hosts program, and visiting their daughter and grandkids between trips.
 
He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 58 years, Janice (Lund), his daughter Bonnie and son-in-law Garrick Lowry of San Antonio, Texas, as well as four grandchildren. Gerry was preceded in death by his parents Gerald Foye, Sr., and Emma Daly.
 
A small wake will be arranged this summer to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations in Gerry's memory could be made to veteran’s organizations or animal rescues.
