Esther Pena Rios, age 78, of Hondo Texas, passed away on July 28, 2023, in Hondo.  Esther was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on April 27, 1945, to Baudelio and Angelina Pena.

Esther is preceded in death by her : Husband: Gregorio Rios; parents: Baudelio and Angelina Pena; Son: Ramsey AKA “Rambo” Rios; Sister: Ermelinda Pena; Brother: Baudelio Pena, Jr.

Esther is survived by her daughter: Michelle R. Gaitan (Ernest); Son: Rudy Rios (Benita); Sisters: Erlinda Alvarado, Elizabeth Moreno (Rudy), Eva Saucedo and Elida Garza (Tomas; Grandchildren: 13; Great Grandchildren: Numerous

A visitation will be held at Hondo Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 1, 2023, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Hondo Funeral Home.
