Diana Sowa

Diana Sowa, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, went to the Lord on June 17, 2024, at age 56.

Diana was ever so loved by her family and friends, and she will be truly and eternally missed.

Diana was born in Singapore on March 25, 1968, to Judy and Wally Sanborn, and after spending extensive time in the Far East, and then Tahiti, Australia, and New Zealand, the family returned to the United States in 1970, settling first in Houston and then in Taylor.

Diana graduated from Taylor High School in 1986, where she was Co-Captain of the award-winning Fighting Duck High Steppers, and she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Management from the University of Phoenix in 2011. Diana was an insurance executive at The Hartford for 26 years.

For 29 years, Diana was married to Tony, and they have two beautiful daughters, Danielle and Sara Sowa, with whom, Diana and Tony took many incredible vacations on-shore and off. From family trips to the Caribbean and Mexico, to visits to California to see her daughter and grandchildren, the endless love she gave to her daughters has made a difference in who they’ve become to be and, she will always be in their hearts.

Diana loved spending time with her grandchildren, Seth Arcos and Catalina Civitello, who absolutely adored her. She made them feel so safe and loved. They will never forget her loving words of wisdom, the way she lit up when she hugged them, and her pure joy when her family was together.

Diana also loved riding the Harley with Tony, upon which, they covered thousands and thousands of miles. Diana and Tony lived a beautiful life together, full of incredible friends and so much joy. She was an amazing wife who everyday gave so much love.

Diana loved her Hartford Insurance family and truly enjoyed her friends there.

Diana was dearly loved by her brother, Trip Sanborn, who will be forever grateful for the role that Diana played in his life.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wallis R. Sanborn II, her grandmothers, Vera Shannabarger and Charlotte Fariss, and her grandfathers, Clarence Sanborn and Gale Shannabarger.
