Delia Salazar Resendez

Delia Salazar Resendez, age 76, of Hondo, Texas, passed away on October 8, 2025, in San Antonio. Delia was born in Hondo, Texas on May 5, 1949, to Inocencia and Concepcion Salazar.

Delia is preceded in death by her husband: Arturo Resendez, Sr.; son: Arturo Resendez, Jr.; her parents: Inocencia and Concepcion Salazar, and all of her siblings.

Delia is survived by her sons: Alfred Resendez, and John Anthony Resendez; daughters: Laurie Felan (Jeff), and Belinda Resendez (Henry); 14 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

Delia, lovingly known as “Memo” by her grandbabies, took great joy in cooking, spending time with family, and of course playing her loteria. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held at Hondo Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m., with recitation of the rosary at 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., and will conclude with interment at Hondo Cemetery.

Services are under the Direction of Hondo Funeral Home.
