Darrell R. Payne, Jr.

Darrell Ransom Payne, Jr., age 77, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on October 27, 2022, in San Antonio. Darrell was born in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee on December 30, 1944, to Annette P., and Darrell R. Payne.

Darrell is preceded in death by his wife: Barbara Louise Payne; brothers: James Edward Payne, and Thomas Windford Payne; and sisters: Ann Higgins, and Patricia Hightower.

Darrell is survived by his son: Darrell Dwayne Payne (Mary); and grandchildren: Emily Payne, and Celia Payne.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at The Jesus Church of Castroville.

Services will conclude following the funeral service.

Services are under the direction of Hondo Funeral Home.
