Daniel Garcia, Sr.

Daniel Garcia, Sr., age 79, of Hondo, Texas, passed away on June 13, 2022, in Hondo. Daniel was born in Hondo, Texas on July 21, 1942, to Jesusa and Martin Garcia, Sr.

Daniel is preceded in death by his wife: Maria C. Garcia; daughter: Guadalupe “Lupita” Garcia; sons: Daniel Garcia, Jr., David Garcia, and Recardo Garcia; parents: Jesusa V. and Martin Garcia, Sr.; and brother: Guadalupe Garcia.

Daniel is survived by his son: Raymond Garcia; daughters: Maria Hernandez (the late Gabriel), and Lisa Barrios (the late Peps); sisters: Antonia Garcia, Trine G. Cuellar, and Emma Del Toro; brother: Martin Garcia, Jr.; 8 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022, followed by recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Hondo Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 24, 2022, at St. John’s Catholic Church, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery.
