Corina Leal Gauna, of Yancey, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021, in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 74.
She was born April 16, 1947, in Yancey, Texas to Arnulfo and Juanita (Medrano) Leal; both precede her along with her 2 brothers: Guadalupe Leal, and Arnulfo Leal, Jr.; and her 2 sisters: Ascension Soliz, and Julia Garza.
On October 16, 1965, she married Gilverto C. Gauna, who also precedes her.
Corina is survived by her daughters: Soyla Guajardo, and Rebecca Adams (Henry), and son: Gilbert Gauna, Jr.; brothers: Raul Leal, and Ruben Leal; sisters: Lydia Ontiveros, and Herminia Cabrera; 8 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 p.m. at Hondo Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Yancey cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Hondo Funeral Home.
