Carmen F. Hernandez, age 91, of Hondo, Texas, passed away on January 20, 2022, in Hondo, Texas. Carmen was born in Hondo, Texas on April 2, 1930, to Martin D. and Angelita Perez.
Carmen is preceded in death by her husband: Juan G. Hernandez; daughter: Maria Inez Luna; son: David Martinez; grandson: Martin Luna; parents: Martin D. and Angelita Perez; brothers: Jose Perez and Martin Perez; and sister: Maria Perez Ramirez.
Carmen is survived by her son: Salvador Martinez (Erlinda); 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2022, at Hondo Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022, at St. John’s Catholic Church, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery.
